The Adam Cherrington program, known as "The Secret Affiliate Marketer," has garnered mixed reviews across various sources.

Here are my personal experiences.

He offers a front-end product for $97 with claims and promises that sound decent upfront in the video sales letter, but this is just a front-end product with limited info and fragmented processes that he uses to get you into his very expensive mentoring program funnel.

For $97, I was fully expecting an upsell, which I have no issues with. But what I do not like about this marketing tactic is that this is not stated upfront; you are buying an upfront product with the claim and “promise” that this is a complete system with 7 days of coaching. But you are getting an outdated, poorly recorded partial product and 7 days of relentless upselling on their mentorship program for $20+K for 3 months of mentorship, $30+K for 6 months, and almost $50K for a year of mentorship. You will also have to come up with additional funds to run ads.  

During these 7 days of trying to convince you to shell out thousands of dollars by any means necessary, including selling your car, taking out predatory loans, or maxing out your credit cards, you will not have access to the full $97 course you paid for, so you are held hostage while you endure high-pressure sales tactic.

So, during the relentless upsell, the $97 course is partially locked for those 7 days. Once the 7 days are over, I could not get them to “unlock” the rest of the training that I paid for. After contacting their support multiple times, I was ghosted after declining the upsell mentor program.

There is a 30-day money-back guarantee, but you must request a refund through their support, which I did get back.

Adam boasts a 95% success rate for those who sign up for their mentorship program, but how on earth would you verify this?

Here is the gist of what he teaches: Adam Cherrington does affiliate arbitrage in the online marketing world. Affiliate arbitrage is a type of affiliate marketing where you earn affiliate commissions by promoting other brand's products, usually physical products, using ads in other people’s emails and newsletters

One of the cringe-worthy tactics is his emphasis on promoting fads, gadgets, and health & beauty products and supplements to baby boomers. Some of these products are highly questionable and borderline snake oils.

You start small by testing banner-like ads in other people’s subscription-based emails. Once you find a winning ad, you scale, the difference between ad spend and commission earned should be your profit. Lots of testing is required to find a winning ad, and you could lose a significant amount of ad spend before turning a profit.

Program Overview:

The program mostly targets baby boomers and specifically women in their 50s and 60s, a demographic with significant spending power, according to him, and focuses on leveraging email lists, including those of other marketers, for traffic generation​​.

Cherrington claims his students have a 95% success rate, though this is difficult to verify due to the small number of students' testimonials​​.

Cost and Investment:

The program's cost ranges from $20K- $50K, with additional significant investments required for paid ads​​. Students are expected to invest in paid ads, which requires extra capital beyond the price of training​​.

Training and Support:

The program offers one-on-one coaching, daily Zoom calls, and access to a team of virtual assistants for creating ads and landing pages​​.

It includes pre-recorded video lessons and claims to provide access to over $1M worth of software developed by Cherrington's team​​.

Critiques and Cautions:

The upfront $97 program is mostly useless as the real information and instructions are not revealed unless you buy into the mentorship program.

There are concerns about the program's transparency, especially regarding profit margins and the quality of products promoted​​.

The program is expensive compared to most other affiliate marketing courses and has a complicated refund policy​​.

Success Stories and Claims:

Some students report significant earnings, but the overall number of successful case studies is limited​​.

There are so much better ways to succeed at affiliate marketing while spending a fraction of the cost for this course.
